Canon Americas Headquarters Voted Best "Office Building" On Long Island
MELVILLE, NY, August 29, 2022 – Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, is proud to announce that its corporate headquarters, which is LEED Gold certified, has been voted “Best Office Building” on Long Island by readers of the Long Island Business News in their annual Reader Ranking Survey. Located at One Canon Park in Melville, New York, Canon Americas headquarters opened its doors in February 2013 and is headquarters for Canon’s business in North and South America. This is the second time the readers of Long Island Business News picked Canon as the number one office building – Canon Americas headquarters secured first place as Best Office Building in 2018, and has made the top 3 every year for the past 5 years.

“We are honored to win this award for the second time and would like to thank the readers of Long Island Business News for recognizing Canon Americas headquarters,” said Seymour Liebman, executive vice president, chief administrative officer and general counsel, Canon U.S.A., Inc. The building reflects Canon’s strong commitment to environmental sustainability, keeping in line with its philosophy of Kyosei, which translates to “all people, regardless of race, religion or culture, harmoniously living and working together into the future.” Canon Americas headquarters measures more than 500 feet long and nearly 300 feet wide, with 40.8 percent of the total building materials by value having been manufactured using recycled materials. One Canon Park was awarded LEED® Gold certification, a recognition for the design, construction, operations and maintenance of high-performance green buildings. The facility stands as a model for environmental stewardship and innovation, as the largest commercial property on Long Island to achieve this level of LEED.

Characteristics of the facility that contribute to its environmental efficiency include:
  • Natural lighting designed to provide daylight to 75 percent of regularly occupied spaces.
  • Options for alternative transportation, reserved parking for low emitting and fuel-efficient vehicles, and 22 electric vehicle charging stations.
  • Water efficient plumbing fixtures that are designed to reduce consumption by 35 percent based on typical usage.

Canon Refreshes its imageCLASS Range to Empower More Small Businesses with Secure, Product Solutions

Sydney, AUSTRALIA - 10 August 2022: Canon Australia today announces the launch of three new models in its imageCLASS range: two new colour multifunction printers, the imageCLASS MF756Cx and imageCLASS X C1333iF, plus the imageCLASS LBP674Cx, a dedicated single-function colour printer. Packed into a compact design, these devices are specifically designed for SMB and SOHO (small office / home office) users. These updates are part of an ongoing commitment to refresh the imageCLASS range.

Additionally, key enhancements across the imageCLASS and imagePRESS portfolios, including the new imagePRESS C270 Series, have been specifically designed to help businesses of all sizes navigate the hybrid working world. As organisations look to fine-tune newly implemented hybrid strategies, workspaces are changing. Large offices with multiple departments are no longer the norm, with many firms downsizing their real estate footprint and consolidating processes to factor in a variety of different work environments.

The latest addition to Canon’s colour A4 portfolio, the imageCLASS MF756Cx, imageCLASS X C1333iF multi-function printers and imageCLASS LBP674Cx single function printer, delivers improved productivity, user experience and strengthened security, all on more compact devices. Thanks to a new design and engine, users are empowered with faster printing and scanning capabilities on smaller, lighter devices. The devices offer increased paper size options and higher quality media output, such as A5 duplex print and A6 one-sided print, make the devices a reliable and flexible component to any mixed fleet.

The new imagePRESS C270 Series offers higher speed scanning and a consistent user experience in line with the rest of the Canon workspace portfolio. The devices combine functionality and connectivity with creative professional output, allowing businesses to advance their in-house printing capabilities with brochures, direct mail, catalogues and more.

With Canon’s advanced print and scan management software, uniFLOW online, users can harness the power of cloud connectivity to tie their fleet together across multiple workspaces. The integrated software solution bolsters workspace collaboration by supporting pre-existing Canon devices, so businesses can ensure seamless document management and security across Canon’s new introductions as well as pre-existing devices in their infrastructure.

Ted Matsumoto, General Manager Product Marketing at Canon Australia comments: “These new launches mark the latest iteration in our commitment to meet the evolving needs of our customers. During the last few years hybrid working has become a constantly evolving concept and as such, organisations large and small have shown an increasing need for solutions which are able to support employees whenever, wherever, and however they may be working. The ability to access and share documents in all workplace locations is a necessity in today’s working world and the digitisation and cloud connection capability of our portfolio continues to empower users to stay engaged, productive and secure.”

Mr Matsumoto continues, “Innovation is also key for meeting customers’ evolving needs. By refreshing our imageCLASS range, we are ensuring our devices are optimised to answer users’ growing requirements and support our partner community in expanding their market opportunities as a result.”
imageCLASS devices to expand sales opportunities by capturing small business needs

SMBs and SOHO workers are increasingly looking for competitively priced, high-performing solutions to meet their varied and expanding needs. Fast-moving environments like retail, for example, often need to print or scan documents quickly in a shared workspace. With simple, out-of-the-box cloud connectivity, the new imageCLASS devices allow partners to maximise sales potential thanks to their straightforward functionality and flexibility.
Colour multifunction printers empowering SMEs with premium productivity features

With printing speeds of up to 33pm and up to 100ipm scanning speeds for the colour multifunction printers, the new range takes productivity to the next level. The devices can also handle a wide variety of media1, perfect for those who work with different sized documents daily.

Thanks to the simple step-by step set up and a streamlined Wi-Fi process, users can confidently plug and play with no prior IT expertise, ideal for businesses that do not have dedicated technical support. Native cloud connectivity to DropBox, Google Drive and OneDrive simplifies everyday business tasks by enabling printing and scanning directly from cloud storage, while also centralising print management with Microsoft Universal Print support.

The devices also boast advanced security features, including secure PIN print functionality that restricts access to sensitive documents, and verification upon start up, which assures the device remains protected from malicious attacks.

THE NAUTICAM NA-R7 UNDERWATER HOUSING FOR THE CANON EOS R7 CAMERA

The NA-R7 underwater housing follows suit with Nauticam's drive for innovation. Like the full frame Canon EOS R5, R5 C and R3, the NA-R7 present shooters with the ability to use both the available legacy EF lenses via an adapter in addition to their native RF optics. To support both the legacy and native lenses, Nauticam has designed a N100 to N120 adapter which integrates into the N120 Canon EF port system. Canon's EF to RF mount adapters can be affixed to the camera before insertion into the housing. When using the EOS R7 inside the housing with the adapter and a supported EF lens, the port and extension ring arrangement will be identical to the same setup on a Nauticam Canon N120 DSLR. As the RF-S lens lineup emerges, dedicated port and extension ring combinations will be listed on the new N100 RF-S Port Chart.

Mission Control

Nauticam engineers are obsessed with getting the underwater image maker unfettered access to all the necessary controls, with as many within easy reach of the ergonomic rubberized handles. This Mission Control philosophy extends to the NA-R7 where a dual thumb lever is placed by the right front side accessing the M-Fn and Record buttons. On the rear right side is a thumb lever accessing AF-ON. Near the left handle is a thumb lever for "Playback."

Large knurled and rubberized control dials access the camera's "main" and "sub" command dials. The two-stage trigger allows for smooth focus and firing activation. Additional buttons for "Menu", "Focus Point Selection" and others are also easily reached from the handles.

Price

Priced at $3,377, the Nauticam housing for the Canon EOS R7 can be ordered now from retailers such as Backscatter.
